Angel Martinez

My name is Mr. Martinez. I graduate from the University of Southern California (Fight On!) with a major of Chemical Engineering. I received my teaching credential through Loyola Marymount University. I grew up in South Gate and went to South Gate Middle School and South Gate High School, but I have been to Huntington Park many times. I also have a pug named Simba and a cat named Klee!

As a Physics teacher, my goal is to push my students to look past any preconceived belief of not being ready for science class and look for something they enjoy out of science. I will also challenge students to develop their problem solving and analytical thinking skills that they can incorporate at anything they do in life. As an AP Physics teacher, my goal is to challenge students at the same level of a college Physics course and prepare them to develop learning and studying skills needed to succeed in college or university.
