I hold a BA in English and German (with a minor in religion) from the University of La Verne and an MA in the Social and Cultural Analysis of Education (global emphasis) from Cal State Long Beach.
Full circle: I began learning German in high school when I was a student in LAUSD, and now I teach the only in-person German class in the entire district. Wunderbar!
I am our UTLA chapter vice-chair, a delegate to the NEA's annual Representative Assembly, a BSA merit badge counselor, chaplain of my younger son's Scout troop, and the host of Huntington Park High School's LGBTQ+ Club.
2022-2023 marks my sixth year at Huntington Park High School and my twentieth as an educator in LAUSD.
