Hello! I have have been teaching for 6 years and all those have been here at Huntington Park High School. I joined the Huntington Park STEAM Magnet program. I currently teach English to 10th and 12th graders. My love of English started in college where I was exposed to
The STEAM Magnet has also afforded me the opportunity to expand my teaching abilities in other areas. I teach AP Computer Science Principles to all the new incoming freshman to magnet program. The course provides students with the opportunity to learn JavaScript coding and learn real world applications. The chance to code is rare among schools in underrepresented communities.
This year I had the pleasure teaching a film elective. I have a tremendous passion for film and it is honor to expose our students to this art form.
